This year my main focus is growth; overall growth in my talents, my finances, my knowledge, my relationships, just overall growth. In order to do so, I started my year off creating a vision wall and daily time calculator.

Vision Wall

When I would typically make vision boards, I always used to put things I wanted in life (like a nice car, designer everything, and some meaningful words), but I was never specific enough with detail in order to feed my subconscious.

Vision Board/Wall: an assortment of words and images portraying ones predestined future

Purpose: used to manifest and attract

When I read the book The Secret I really started thinking about changing my mindset to attract what I want in life and keeping a positive frequency (vibe). Using the law of attraction is nice, but I what inspired me to update my vision wall was a YouTube video by Anaya Ivy, on a vision board she made specific to this year.

After watching her video, I started working on my wall to make it more specific to what I want to do, where I want to go and basically who I’m going to be this year. I included images and words about living a healthier life, getting my spirit in line with God, becoming financially stable, getting my own pace again, running my business, going to school and the list goes on and on. But you get the point.

So if you’re feeling up to creating a vision board or decorating your wall with your vision, don’t get all worked up because we’re in month two of the year. Just go ahead and start because there’s still enough time.

Daily Time Calculator

On top of practicing the law of attraction and creating a visional wall for me to look at every day, I decided that this still wasn’t enough to help me elevate. Now I know you may be thinking what is a daily time calculator, but honestly it’s something I made up that turned out to be beneficial.

One day I sat down and decided to think about how I was spending my time. For some reason the quote “everyone has the same 24 hours in a day” was echoing in my head which made me feel I wasn’t using my time wisely. So I wrote out a mini formula to calculate how many hours I have in a day when I’m not working and what I should be doing during those hours.

The way I created it was deciding how many hours I typically sleep in a day, subtract that from the full 24 and then manage my time based off the remaining hours (18 hours a day). Because I work quite often, I decided to subtract this out of my remaining time first since that’s a for sure commitment of where my time is spent. Then I estimated about how much time I use in a day to shower, eat or just take a break to chill out. Once all of my priorities were subtracted out of my day, I was then left with how much free time I came across. And that’s when I broke it down into what I could be spending my time on.

After creating my daily time calculator, I started putting it to work. Each day I would set a six or ten hour timer and just start going to work. Whenever I needed a break or had to go run and errand or to work, i would pause the timer, this way I could keep track of how much time I was really putting back into my personal growth.

So just because we’re already in the second month of the year, doesn’t mean you’re too late to practice manifesting your heart’s desires. All it takes is a little time management and a positive mindset.
